BREACH THE PEACE

Breach The Peace is 25 year old dance music producer Simon Fletcher, vocalist, 19 year old Lucy Mines and 25 year old Derick Mottershaw aka DJ Delphin. Based at the secluded Attic Studio’s in Weston-super-Mare, they have been producing different styles of music for two years under many different pseudonyms.

Simon produces many different style of dance music including trance, house, drum and bass and garage. Working with many local artists he has remixed and written countless tracks thus his portfolio is very diverse. "I like a challenge and remixing other peoples work gives me this" explains Simon "But I now find producing something from nothing can be just as satisfying".

Lucy Mines has been singing since she could talk, she has worked with bands as a lead singer mainly on a more indi basis, but has also featured on many other artists tracks as a backing singer,. Lucy says, "I hadn’t thought about singing for a dance music producer until I met Simon, but now it is definitely the way I want to continue my career.

DJ Delphin has been entertaining clubbers for seven years with his mix of upfront trance/house sets. "His skill for reading a crowd is one of the best I have ever seen" is how he was described by one clubber. "I just love playing out new tracks that no one knows and watching there reaction" says Derick " and with Breach the Peace this gives that opportunity.

While still spending most of there time in the studio they have now started to progress in a new direction, moving the whole studio in to clubs and reproducing the music live. Simon tells how different it is " This give me a huge buzz, there is nothing like controlling a crowd. I have all the sounds and music programmed into the machines so I can adlib and remix live to move with the clubbers". "This is really refreshing than just seeing a DJ stood playing records" Is how clubbers have described this show.
